The online video market continues to grow as November 2009 saw the number of Web videos viewed surpass 30 billion for the first month on record, according to digital measuring company comScore.
Studio-owned Hulu hit an all-time high in November, with more than 924 million videos viewed in the month. The overall video-viewing audience in the month surpassed 170 million in the United States, watching nearly 31 billion videos.
Google sites (most of which is accounted for by YouTube) continued as the top-ranked video property, with 12.2 billion videos viewed and 39% of the market share. Hulu was in second place with 924 million videos viewed and 3% market share, and Viacom Digital came in third with nearly 500 million videos viewed and 1.6% market share.
