Netflix Expands Hospitality Deal With Enseo

Netflix has a global footprint. Now the subscription streaming video pioneer wants that access to include hotels worldwide.

Netflix Aug. 17 announced an expanded agreement with Enseo to include its app on select Enseo hotel software in any country where Netflix is available.

In 2014, Enseo was the first hospitality integrator to deploy the Netflix app in hotels. Guests using Enseo-powered devices can subscribe to or sign into their Netflix account. In addition, guests are not required to pay in-room Internet fees to access Netflix. At checkout, user credentials are automatically removed from the device.

Enseo’s software includes over-the-top video (such as Hulu and YouTube) and audio applications. In addition, the company’s data analytics found Netflix is the favorite channel in all 19 hotel brands currently deployed.

"Our partnership with Enseo brings Netflix members a high quality viewing experience on their hotel room TV," Paul Perryman, director of business development at Netflix, said in a statement. "Through our expanded agreement, now more hotels in more countries will be able to provide guests access to their favorite Netflix TV shows and movies on the in-room television, making their hotel room feel more like home."
