Online studio My Damn Channel said May 11 that it has seen a 133% increase in video views since April 2008, including 2 million views of its latest series, “Pilot Season,” during its first two weeks.
“Pilot Season” is a 30-minute mockumentary show about Hollywood sitcoms, created by Sam Seder and Charles Fisher and starring David Cross, Andy Dick and Sarah Silverman. New episodes premiere each Monday.
My Damn Channel has also upgraded the look and features of its Web site.
“People are barraged by new Web entertainment every day. Our philosophy is to attack a little less often, with high-quality series from high-caliber talent,” said Rob Barnett, founder and CEO of My Damn Channel. “The numbers confirm that we’re giving our audience and our advertisers more reasons to be cheerful. Our cookie jar was full enough to break it open and upgrade the whole site.”
