Lionsgate's BeFit YouTube Channel Passes 1 Million Subscribers

16 May, 2014 By: Chris Tribbey

Lionsgate’s YouTube fitness channel “Lionsgate BeFit” now has more than one million subscribers, and the ad-supported fitness destination now ranks among the top 1% of YouTube channels in the “Google Preferred” program, the studio announced.

The “Google Preferred” program informs advertisers of the most-viewed sites on YouTube, allowing brands to better target their advertising.

“BeFit is at the pinnacle of online fitness and we are poised to continue our growth with the addition of new channels and transformational original content,” said Kajsa Vikman, GM and SVP of marketing for BeFit. “The way people consume fitness content is rapidly evolving and we are at the forefront of that evolution. Our mission is to provide ‘Workouts that Work,’ available to everyone, anywhere at any time.”

First launched in early 2012, Lionsgate’s BeFit YouTube channel centers around original fitness content, with trainers focusing on everything from weight loss and cardio to yoga and Pilates.
