Lionsgate’s ‘Abduction’ Hits Facebook Day and Date with Disc

Lionsgate bowed Abduction on Facebook Jan. 17, the first time the social network has seen a film released day and date with disc.
The film can be rented for 48 hours on Facebook for $3.99. The Blu-ray Disc lists for $39.99 while DVD is priced at $29.95.
Those who rent through Facebook also are treated to an exclusive interview with star Taylor Lautner. Viewers also can interact with poll questions while watching the film.
Abduction pulled in $82 million at the box office worldwide.

Warner Home Video was the first to stream films on Facebook starting with The Dark Knight in March 2011.
