Electronic media measurer comScore released data from its comScore Video Metrix service showing that Hulu grew in its viewership by 42% in the month, following its Super Bowl commercial, jumping into the top five video sites.
Hulu is now fourth among the largest video sites in the United States, drawing an audience of 34.7 million for the month of February. The data also showed U.S. Internet users watched 13.1 billion online videos in February, a drop of 12% compared with January, attributed mainly to shortness of the month. YouTube.com still was No. 1 for online video viewing, with 41% of all videos viewed online in the United States and just under 100 million unique viewers.
