Hulu Expands Selection of Fox Animated Comedies

14 Jul, 2017 By: John Latchem

Streaming service Hulu is now the exclusive subscription video on-demand home to the full runs of 20th Century Fox animated comedies “Bob’s Burgers” and “The Cleveland Show,” and will add all seasons of “Futurama” and “American Dad” in the coming weeks.

The series join a Hulu animated library that includes Paramount’s “South Park,” and Warner’s “Rick & Morty,” “The Boondocks,” “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” “Robot Chicken,” “Adventure Time,” “Squidbillies” and “Venture Bros.” Hulu also offers episodes of hit series such as Fox’s “Family Guy,” “Archer” and “The Simpsons.”

"Since our inception, one of the things that has consistently remained true is that Hulu viewers love animation. That's why we are incredibly proud to offer even more beloved animated comedies through this new deal," Lisa Holme, Hulu VP of content acquisition, said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to license these iconic adult animated series to Hulu, and to further support their position as the leader in offering this type of award winning animation,” Evan Scheffel, EVP of the Americas for 20th Century Fox Television Distribution, said in a statement.

The new deal follows another recent announcement that 20th Century Fox Television Distribution has made Hulu the exclusive subscription streaming video on-demand home to shows such as “This Is Us,” “Fresh Off the Boat,” “Empire,” “The Last Man on Earth” and “Homeland.”

The platform is co-owned by Fox, Disney, Comcast and Time Warner.
