VOD movie channel Eurocinema, a North American channel dedicated to European cinema, has expanded its national reach with a new, online VOD consumer platform, eurocinema.com.

The Eurocinema VOD channel is currently available to 36 million cable and IPTV subscribers, via Comcast, Charter, Cablevision, Verizon and others.

“Eurocinema has been delivering the very best in European filmmaking to U.S. TV viewers since 2007,” said company president and CEO Sebastien Perioche. “We’re excited about the launch of our online, on demand service that will now allow an entire new audience of cinema fans to enjoy our amazing collection of movies, any time and anywhere at eurocinema.com.”

Via eurocinema.com, consumers can rent titles for $2.99 to $5.99 for a 48-hour rental. The site is also offering free European entertainment and lifestyle content via “French 24” and “Euronews” on the site. The company wants to expand the reach of the site to other countries.

Notable films available at launch include the German-French language film Go With Le Flo, Austria’s “The Paradise Trilogy,” Danish thriller Terribly Happy, Reality from Italy, and the historical melodrama Baaria by Cinema Paradiso director Guiseppe Tornatore.
