Dove Channel Inks Partnership With FamilyShare Network

Cinedigm’s faith-based Dove Channel Nov. 30 announced an alliance with FamilyShare Network. The deal intends to combine promotional opportunities for advertisers, special family movie night screens, and related sales incentives. Together, FamilyShare Network and Dove Channel include an OTT Channel, 100 social media channels, four websites and more than 100 million follows.

The $4.99 monthly Dove Channel markets itself as a “safe entertainment choice” utilizing The Dove Foundation rating system, which ranks movies and TV shows in six key areas: sexuality, language, violence, drug and alcohol use, nudity, and other, to ensure appropriate programming for families.

The service currently offers more than 300 homeschooling titles, and shelving curriculum categories, including Bible studies, science, literature, and history — all organized by age and in accordance with the Dove Faith & Family Seal of Approval.

“We share the same core values and audience,” Faye Walker, SVP of marketing and acquisitions at Cinedigm, said in a statement. “Each of our respective companies is focused on providing valuable information and services to families. Our partnership is a natural outcrop of our collective missions, and provides advertisers with a unique and valuable opportunity if they want to reach women, ages 18-44.”

Saul Leal, GM of FamilyShare Network, said data regarding entertainment consumption suggests families care about media and how it impacts their lives and the lives of their children.

“The FamilyShare Network is eager to embark in this partnership to offer trusted content from the Dove Foundation to millions of people worldwide,” Leal said.
