Amazon Feb. 24 said it has signed a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution for access to five TV series to its rebranded Amazon Prime Instant Video subscription (formerly LoveFilm Instant) streaming service in the United Kingdom and Germany.
Under the multiyear agreement, Amazon Prime has access to seasons of “The 100,” “Revolution,” “Hostages,” “The Following” and “Arrow,” following their broadcast runs in the U.K.
Freshman series “The 100” and “Hostages” will be available beginning in 2015, while the first seasons of the other three shows will be available this year.
Warner Bros. Television is one of the largest producers of episodic programming in the United States.
LoveFilm retains its brand name for its original by-mail disc rental service with about 2 million subscribers.
