The $99 Amazon Fire TV streaming device doubled its app selection over the first weekend of August, also adding a host of new games, including Flappy Birds Family, an exclusive for the device.
Watch Disney Channel, Watch Disney Jr., MLB.tv, Animal Planet L!ve and WWE Network are among the new apps available, with NFL Now, A&E Channel, Watch ABC, Watch ABC Family, Outside TV, Young Hollywood, North Face TV, Fashion TV, Green TV and Dailymotion coming this year.
In addition to Flappy Birds Family, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, The Wolf Among Us, Dungeon Quest and Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse are among the new games available.
“Customers are loving the selection on their Fire TV, telling us how easy it is to watch their favorite movies and TV shows, listen to music, and play games in their living room,” said Steve Rabuchin, VP of the Amazon Appstore. “And because of that, developers continue to bring great apps to the platform, with app selection more than doubling since launch.”
