Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Nov. 5 said it promoted Jennifer Anderson to SVP of marketing.

Anderson will continue to oversee and execute marketing strategies and national promotions for new-release films, including both physical and transactional digital releases. She will manage home entertainment releases from Columbia Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Classics, TriStar, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and made-for-television movies.

Anderson, who had been VP of marketing, reports to Lexine Wong, SEVP of worldwide marketing, at Sony’s studio lot in Culver City, Calif.

“Marketing new-release home entertainment product has become more complex than ever as new technology has transformed not only home entertainment distribution, but also the way content is marketed,” Wong said in a statement. “Jennifer is a strategic thinker who works closely with all of our content partners to ensure the best positioning for our slate of new releases. She has the knowledge, experience and skills to help insure SPHE’s position as a preeminent distributor of home entertainment product, and I am delighted to acknowledge her contributions with this promotion.”
