Also available on 3D Blu-ray, the special-edition release includes UltraViolet and both theatrical and extended fan cuts, adding 20 minutes of new footage and four additional songs for fans to swoon over.
The Ultimate Fan Edition also includes three exclusive featurettes: “I Didn’t Do It,” in which the boys try to complete on-air promotions at a Japanese radio station; “Hold That Pose,” which follows the group on their visit to the famed Madame Tussauds wax museum; and “Up All Night!” with two mini movies previously only shown during the live concert.
A music video for “Best Song Ever,” the lead single from Midnight Memories, the One Direction record that will be released worldwide Nov. 25; extended scenes; and “Going Home” (five featurettes with each of the boys at home with family and friends), “Before the Show” and “1D Family” featurettes also round out the bonus material.
Named MTV’s 2012 Artist of the Year, One Direction began competing on “The X Factor,” where they met one of the show’s judges, Simon Cowell, who also produced This Is Us.
