Lawrence of Arabia, considered one of the most illustrious and inspiring films of all time, returns to the big screen digitally restored Oct. 4, celebrating the film’s 50th anniversary.
The winner of seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture of 1962, Lawrence of Arabia will be presented using new digital cinema projection systems in more than 630 select movie theaters around the country.
Presented by NCM Fathom Events and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the event will feature an exclusive introduction from the film’s star, Omar Sharif, as well as newsreel footage from the 1962 New York premiere of the historic cinema masterpiece.
This one-day-only event will have just two show times per theater. Tickets are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Lawrence of Arabia as a limited-edition, four-disc collector’s gift set Nov. 13. The set comes with UltraViolet, an authentic film frame, a CD of the original soundtrack featuring previously unreleased tracks and an 88-page hardbound coffee table book.
