Angel is a breakdancer in Brooklyn. After an ex-boyfriend stabs her and kills her friend, she and her mom move  to Los Angeles.

On the west coast, Angel finds a new crew to dance with but must still face the demons she left behind and mend the rocky relationships she has with her mother and grandmother.

B-Girl features dancers from such films as Fame, How She Move, Stomp the Yard and the “Step Up” movies, as well as the shows “So You Think You Can Dance” and “America’s Best Dance Crew.” Some of these dancers have toured with Madonna, Janet Jackson, Gwen Stefani and Fergie. Angel is played by Julie “Lady Jules” Urich of Step Up 2 The Streets, You Got Served and “America’s Best Dance Crew.”

This is great for anyone who likes dance films and breakdancing, B-boy culture or urban films.
