M-Go Partners with Roku25 Sep, 2013 By: Chris Tribbey
M-Go, the digital entertainment service backed by Technicolor and DreamWorks Animation, is headed to Roku devices, the companies announced.
All Roku players will feature M-Go following a firmware update in October, and the Roku LT, Roku 1 and Roku 2 players will also feature a one-touch M-Go button on their respective remotes. All new M-Go customers using Roku devices will be offered two free movie rentals.
“We want to make it even easier and faster for customers to access great entertainment on Roku starting with movies and TV shows, two of our most popular categories,” said Steve Shannon, GM of content and services for Roku. “M-Go offers a fantastic selection of movies and TV shows that we know our customers will enjoy.”
M-Go CEO John Batter added: “We are excited to come together with such a like-minded partner in Roku. We both believe that in order to make TV better we have to make it as simple as possible for consumers to get to the freshest content. M-Go on Roku provides that ultimate streamlined experience through frictionless discovery and checkout.”
