Art Is Their Gift

Why do those who consider themselves artists just seem unique in the world? The Emmy-nominated film The Artsiders delves into that question, offering a fascinating portrait of the artist’s mindset.

The 27-minute documentary short film by Chris Olsen features interviews with several artists, from performers to sculptors, to profile what drives them to do what they do. For many, art is a path to hardship but a passion they cannot ignore, going from job to job with little financial security.

The DVD, distributed by Victory Multimedia at $19.99, also includes a 52-minute director’s cut version.
