Projections: 'Transformers' to Battle 'Wonder Woman'

2 Oct, 2017 By: John Latchem

Paramount's Transformers: The Last Knight stands the best chance of unseating Warner's Wonder Woman from the top spot on the home video sales charts the week ending Sept. 30.

The fifth "Transformers" film earned just $130 million at the domestic box office, the lowest tally of the franchise, so its first-week sales will be especially dependent on its core fan base.

On the rental chart for the week ended Oct. 1, Wonder Woman comes off its seven-day holdback at Redbox rental kiosks and should take the top spot, just ahead of Transformers: The Last Knight.
