Projections: 'Taken 3' Set to Take Top Spot27 Apr, 2015 By: John Latchem
After nearly a month without a high-profile new release, Fox's Taken 3 is in a prime position to take over the top spot on the home video sales charts. Though the film grossed just north of $89 million at the domestic box office, lowest of the three "Taken" films, its franchise connections and lack of competition should help it top disc sales by a large margin.
On the rental chart, Taken 3 won't be available at Redbox for another month. But Universal's Unbroken and Warner's The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies are coming off their 28-day holdbacks at the kiosk chain and will move to the top of the rental charts.
