Projections: 'Star Trek' Sets Course for No. 1

16 Sep, 2013 By: John Latchem

The parade of major titles heading into the fourth quarter continues with Paramount’s Star Trek Into Darkness, which should debut as the top-selling and renting home video after a $228.8 million take at U.S. theaters and the support of the franchise’s fan base.

The only other major new releases for the week are TV shows heading to disc, led by Warner’s The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Sixth Season, which means recent releases such as Lionsgate’s Now You See Me and Warner’s The Great Gatsby should continue to land high on the sales charts.
