Projections: 'Puss in Boots' Ready for Action
27 Feb, 2012 By: John Latchem
Paramount and DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots, a spin-off of the popular “Shrek” franchise, should have enough first- and second-day sales to top the sales charts its first week in stores. The title is a Friday release and, thus, won’t have as many sales days to make an impact on the charts as some other new releases.
The extra lag time will probably give The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 enough momentum to top the rental chart for the second straight week.
Among other new releases, Universal’s Tower Heist was the highest box office grosser, at $78 million domestically.
