Projections: 'Paddington' Eyes Top Spot

4 May, 2015 By: John Latchem

Among the latest batch of new releases, Anchor Bay's Paddington has the best shot of topping the home video sales charts the week ending May 3.

The film grossed more than $75 million at the domestic box office, the largest haul of the new releases, and its family appeal should give it an extra boost.

Sony Pictures' The Wedding Ringer, with $65 million, wasn't far behind in U.S. theaters. The comedy, starring Kevin Hart, should also have a wide appeal, which will likely make it the top rental for the week.
