Projections: 'Now You See Me' Sets Sights on No. 1

9 Sep, 2013 By: John Latchem

Lionsgate’s magic-themed heist caper Now You See Me should have an easy time conjuring up the top spot on the sales and rental charts for the week ending Sept. 8. The sleeper hit already rode its all-star cast to a $117.1 million cume at the domestic box office and arrives during a week otherwise light on major competition among the new releases, aside from some high-profile TV titles.

On the rental chart, Universal’s Oblivion comes off its kiosk embargo and should command a high spot, even contending for No. 1.
