Projections: 'Monsters' Ready To Scare Up Sales4 Nov, 2013 By: John Latchem
There is little doubt that Disney’s latest animated Pixar hit, Monsters University, will debut atop the sales charts for the week ending Nov. 3 by a wide margin. The primary question for the week is what will end up at No. 2. The leading contender is Universal’s R.I.P.D., though its weak box office performance ($33.6 million domestically) could leave room for a strong week from a holdover such as Warner’s The Conjuring.
The rental chart will see a surge from DreamWorks’ The Croods, which is coming off its 28-day holdback from Redbox.
