Projections: 'Millers' Could Sneak in at No. 125 Nov, 2013 By: John Latchem
The biggest new movie hitting disc Nov. 19 was Warner’s comedy We’re the Millers, a theatrical overacheiver that recorded a domestic box office haul of $150 million. That kind of popularity should be enough to push its disc sales to a No. 1 debut.
Its biggest challenge will be Disney’s animated Planes, a “Cars” spinoff that scored $89.9 million in U.S. theaters and should have a strong family appeal.
The rental chart should see the rise of Warner’s The Conjuring and Fox’s The Internship after the end of their Redbox holdback period.
