Projections: 'Longest Ride' Eyes Second Week on Top

27 Jul, 2015 By: John Latchem

The week ending July 26 is another Summer week in which sparse distribution of new releases gives the top titles from the previous week a chance to repeat.

That opens the door for Fox's The Longest Ride and Sony Pictures' Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 to maintain top spots on the home video sales charts.

The highest-profile new release is a direct-to-video animated movie, Warner's Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery. It would be a good candidate for the top spot expect that it's availability is limited at a few stores, and Walmart doesn't have the Blu-ray version in stores.

On the rental chart for the week, Blart 2 is likely to hold onto the top spot for another week.
