Projections: 'Killers' Should Make a Killing

13 Sep, 2010 By: Kelly Burner

The week ended Sept. 12 was a slow one for new theatricals on disc, but it was heavy with new TV DVD releases. From Lionsgate came the comedy Killers, starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl, which raked in $47 million in theaters. With little competition, Killers should perform well, landing first place on the national top sales and rental charts for the week.

On the TV DVD front, Universal came out with season six of "The Office," while Warner streeted season five of "Supernatural" and season nine of "Smallville." Of the group, "The Office" should perform best, landing No. 3 on the top sales chart for the week.
