Projections: 'Jack Ryan' Hopes to Recruit Top Spot

16 Jun, 2014 By: John Latchem

The stream of big new disc releases in June continued June 10 with a pair of thrillers: Paramount's Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Universal's Non-Stop, either of which could end up topping the sales charts.

Ryan earned $50.6 million at the domestic box office, while Non-Stop took in $91.7 million. However, Ryan, the fifth film based on Tom Clancy's famous character, has received considerable retail attention on disc and it's franchise connection should push it over the top.

On the rental chart, Ryan should have no trouble taking the top spot, as Non-Stop is delayed to Redbox for 28 days.
