Projections: Holiday Shopping Could Push 'Minions' to Third Week on Top28 Dec, 2015 By: John Latchem
With few new releases during the Christmas week, Universal's Minions could top the home video sales charts for a third time the week ended Dec. 27.
The only major new release of much significance during the week was Warner's Pan, a prequel to the Peter Pan story. However, the film seriously underperformed at the box office with just $34.99 million domestically.
Paramount's Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation should also have a decent second week on the sales chart.
Rogue Nation is likely to repeat as the top rental for the week, though Warner's Pan, which isn't being delayed at Redbox for the typical 28 days, could also claim a high chart spot.
