Projections: 'Gone Girl' Ready to Appear

19 Jan, 2015 By: John Latchem

Director David Fincher's Gone Girl will look to debut on top of the disc sales charts following a very successful box office run of $167.2 million domsetically.

Another title that should have a good debut is Universal's A Walk Among the Tombstones. The Liam Neeson vehicle that grossed just $26.3 million at the domestic box office but should benefit from the fortuitous timing of hitting retail just as Neeson's Taken 3 is in theaters.

On the rental chart, Fox's The Maze Runner comes off its 28-day holdback at Redbox and should take the top spot. Tombstones should also debut highly since it was made available at Redbox on street date without the usual delay imposed by Universal.
