Projections: Get Ready for a ‘Despicable’ Week

20 Dec, 2010 By: John Latchem

With an impressive box office haul of $250 million domestically, Universal’s Despicable Me should have the inside track to taking the top sales spot its first week in stores.

Sony Pictures’ cop comedy The Other Guys, not too shabby with a $119.2 million domestic haul and the backing of the Talladega Nights creative team, should land in the second spot.

Among a crowded field in the Christmas shopping season, last week’s top seller, Inception, should snatch the No. 3 spot.
