Projections: 'Get Hard' Preparing to Do Time Atop Charts

6 Jul, 2015 By: John Latchem

The Warner comedy Get Hard should climb to the top of the home video sales charts the week ending July 5. The film grossed $90.4 million at the domestic box office but also has the advantage of being the first big new release in a few weeks.

Several other new releases have a shot at a top chart spot, but the most likely contenders are the two titles that have proved strongest over the past month, Warner's American Sniper and Fox's Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Warner looks to dominate the rental chart with a few new titles arriving at Redbox after a 28-day delay. They include Focus and Jupiter Ascending, which will push American Sniper down a few pegs.
