Projections: 'Gatsby' Expected To Party on Top2 Sep, 2013 By: John Latchem
After a $144.8 million haul at the domestic box office, Warner’s The Great Gatsby, from director Baz Luhrmann, should debut atop the disc sales charts the week ending Sept. 1. However, several strong TV DVD titles could crash the party.
Tops among them is the third season of AMC’s megahit “The Walking Dead” from Anchor Bay.
With Gatsby delayed at many rental outlets, Paramount’s Pain & Gain, the Michael Bay comedy actioner that grossed $49.9 million in U.S. theaters, should top the rental chart.
