Projections: 'Escape Plan' Seeks to Break Through10 Feb, 2014 By: John Latchem
Amid a wide selection of new releases Feb. 4, none really stand out as a clear favorite to top the sales chart. The best bet might be Lionsgate’s Escape Plan, which earned just $25 million at the U.S. box office, but is available for only $10 on DVD at Target, which should spur interest from some old-school fans of stars Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The highest-grossing title of the new batch is Fox’s animated Free Birds, with $55.5 million.
Escape Plan is also in line to be the top new release on the rental chart.
