Projections: 'Conjuring' Seeks To Cast a Spell28 Oct, 2013 By: John Latchem
Continuing the trend of the past few weeks, two big new releases will emerge with the best chance of topping the sales charts for the week ending Oct. 27.
The top prospect is Warner’s horror hit The Conjuring, arriving on disc just in time for Halloween after earning $137 million at the domestic box office. Less likely is Fox’s The Internship, a Vince Vaughn-Owen Wilson comedy that earned just $44.7 million in U.S. theaters.
With most of the major newcomers embargoed at kiosks, the rental charts aren’t likely to change much.
