Projections: ‘Code’ Ready to Crack the Charts

1 Aug, 2011 By: John Latchem

Summit Entertainment’s sci-fi thriller Source Code should find itself topping the sales and rental charts its first week on store shelves.

The biggest of the other new titles for the week is MTV’s third season of reality TV phenom “Jersey Shore,” which probably will land in a healthy position on the top 20 chart.

Given the lack of strong new releases, holdovers Rango and The Lincoln Lawyer also should chart well. Warner’s Sucker Punch and Fox’s Season of the Witch and The Warrior’s Way are among embargoed rental titles debuting at kiosks.
