Projections: 'Boss Baby' Looking to Take Over

31 Jul, 2017 By: John Latchem

DreamWorks Animation's The Boss Baby, distributed by 20th Century Fox, should take the top spot on the home video sales charts the week ending July 30.

The film, which features Alec Baldwin as the voice of a toddler who is an agent in a secret war between babies and puppies, earned $174.6 million at the domestic box office.

Also looking for a high debut is Paramount's live-action Ghost in the Shell. The film, a remake of the Japanese anime series, stars Scarlett Johansson but earned just $40.6 million at U.S. theaters.

On the weekly rental chart, Warner's Kong: Skull Island is tracking to take the top spot after a seven-day delay at Redbox rental kiosks.
