Projections: 'Apes' to 'Dawn' on Charts8 Dec, 2014 By: John Latchem
Fox's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes should easily top the home video sales charts for the week ended Dec. 7.
The reboot sequel is coming off a huge $208.5 million domestic box office haul and arrives on video as the only major new release during the week.
Dawn won't make it onto the rental charts yet because Fox holds back new releases from Redbox for 28 days. The top rental is likely Warner's Tammy, which arrives at Redbox a week earlier than the usual 28 day delay.
