Projections: '300,' 'Lego' Seek to Continue Disc Dominance7 Jul, 2014 By: John Latchem
A couple of Warner Bros. juggernauts will look to continue to dominate the disc sales charts for the week ending July 6. With a limited new-release slate in the week leading up to the July 4 holiday, 300: Rise of an Empire and The Lego Movie are in a good spot to maintain a hold on the top home video sales spots after dominating in the top spots the week before. While 300 was the top title a week ago, don't be surprised if a family fueled surge pushes Lego Movie back on top.
Meanwhile, Universal's Lone Survivor leads a pack of big titles finally available for rental at kiosks after the standard 28-day delay. Two other big titles on that list are Fox's RoboCop remake and Son of God, and the trio should end up atop the rental chart for the week.
