Redbox Instant Coming to PS4

7 Nov, 2013 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Redbox Instant by Verizon will be available on Sony’s PlayStation 4 gaming system when the console launches Nov. 15. The news comes less than two weeks after Redbox Instant said its app would be available on the PS3.

The app will also feature the PlayStation’s “The Playlist” movie collections.

“We’re pleased to continue our partnership with PlayStation by bringing Redbox Instant by Verizon to PS4,” Redbox Instant CEO Shawn Strickland said in a statement. “With the launch of our app and the customized 'The Playlist' collections, gamers can always find a great movie to enjoy that fits their specific interests.”

“Playlist” is a specially curated, rotating collection of Redbox Instant movies that highlights the most exciting titles from the subscription movie library. Built specifically with the PlayStation gamer in mind and featured on the main dashboard, “The Playlist” channel is updated frequently with up-to-the-minute movie discoveries.

Upon launch, PS4 users can visit the PS Store and download the Redbox Instant by Verizon app with “The Playlist” channel directly to their system.
