The time has come for horror fans to choose the best horror DVDs and Blu-ray Discs of the year.

The nominees for Reaper Awards 2009 — a joint venture between Home Media Magazine and DreadCentral.com that is dedicated entirely to horror on home video —have been chosen by a panel of judges from the horror community. The show is executive produced by HM’s Kyra Kudick.

“This year’s nominees range from some of the most popular horror films ever made to new critically acclaimed indies,” Kudick said. “It is a diverse selection and it is exciting to leave the choice of winners to those who would know best — the fans.”
