A Stellar Debut for ‘Star Trek’

Paramount Home Entertainment celebrated the DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases Star Trek Nov. 16 at the historic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Star-studded red carpet arrivals were followed by an elegant party under the stars with opportunities to meet green girls, sample red matter and get an up-close look at the final frontier through the observatory’s famous telescope.

Warner Celebrates ‘Gone With the Wind’ in Georgia

Warner Home Video and Turner Classic Movies celebrated the 70th anniversary of Gone With the Wind Nov. 13 in Marietta, Ga., 18 miles north of Atlanta where Gone With the Wind had its gala premiere. Seventy couples in period costume danced The World’s Largest Virginia Reel in the historic Marietta Georgia Town Square. Warner releases Gone With the Wind 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray Disc and DVD Nov. 17.

A Very Sunny Premiere

Cast of “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” gathered at the Guys and Dolls Lounge in Los Angeles Nov. 12 to celebrate the release of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: It’s a Very Sunny Christmas, a new Christmas special available exclusively on Blu-ray Disc and DVD Nov. 17 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
