Shout! Factory Feb. 24 said it secured North American multiplatform rights to French animated CG movie Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart.

Los Angeles-based Shout! Factory inked the deal with the film’s producer EuropaCorp, whose catalog includes more than 500 movies. Shout! plans to roll out the film in select theaters, video-on-demand (VOD), subscription video-on-demand (SVOD), electronic-sell-through (EST), television and packaged media in 2014.

Last year, Shout! Partnered with EuropaCorp for Bibo Bergeron’s A Monster in Paris.

“Shout! Factory’s success with previous animated feature from EuropaCorp made it the ideal partner to distribute this movie in the U.S. and Canada. With its great amount of enthusiasm for our films, we are very pleased to team with Shout! Factory,” EuropaCorp’s Virginie Besson-Silla said in a statement.

Adapted by co-director Mathias Malzieu from his bestselling novel and music album, Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is a whimsical and visually opulent animated fairy tale set in the 19th century featuring fabulous inventions, unforgettable characters, enchanting music and fantastic adventures.

“This beautifully made, highly entertaining feature is a perfect addition to our growing library of exciting new films," Shout! Factory founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos said in a statement. “Over last year, we enjoyed tremendous success with [EuropaCorp], and this new opportunity continues to build on our prowess in distributing premiere animation and family friendly content in the entertainment marketplace.”
