Acacia, provider of mind, body, spirit programming on DVD, has recently announced the release of three workout DVDs with “Eat Smart” tips and recipes from Cooking Light magazine.
The DVDs, to be released Jan. 6, 2009 are Weight Loss: Pilates and Weight Loss: Cardio Sculpt ($14.99 each).
This is the first time Cooking Light has partnered on a fitness DVD.
Pilates and Cardio Sculpt feature two 20-minute workouts that emphasize both calorie burn and muscle toning, and a 16-page booklet, unique to each release, with healthy eating tips and calorie-conscious recipes from Cooking Light.
The Pilates DVD workout is instructed by Kristin McGee, a personal trainer for celebrities and athletes, who focuses on “cardio blasts” to keep the heart rate escalated for maximum calorie burn. Cardio Sculpt, with instructor Violet Zaki, incorporates both cardio and strength training into two 20-minute workouts.
