2 Nov, 2012 By: Ashley Ratcliff

Bruce Lee, the man almost synonymous with martial arts, has left an indelible print on popular culture, and, thus, has warranted numerous films profiling his talent.

Shout! Factory, with FremantleMedia, Jan. 15 is slated to release the documentary I Am Bruce Lee on Blu-ray Disc ($26.97) and DVD ($19.93).

The film gives viewers a peek into Lee’s life, with interviews from the icon himself, his family and friends, and familiar faces in sports and entertainment, such as Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, renowned boxer Manny Pacquiao, actors Mickey Rourke and Ed O’Neill, and recording artist Taboo of pop group The Black Eyed Peas, among others.

I Am Bruce Lee also explores Lee’s connections to the modern sport of mixed martial arts, and features archival footage and photos from his action films.

Bonus material includes featurettes “Backyard Training — Bruce Lee’s Personal Films,” “Inspiration — Bruce Lee’s Global Impact,” “Bruce Lee in Action” and “Bruce Lee’s Hollywood Audition.”

Shout! Factory has planned for 2013 various home entertainment releases centered around Lee, who died suddenly in 1973 at the age of 32.
