Even while California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger threatens to close 220 state parks as part of budget cuts, nature lovers can own and treasure images of these sanctuaries forever.
National Geographic Home Entertainment (distributed by Warner Home Video) Aug. 18 (prebook July 14) is releasing National Parks Collection (seven-DVD set $59.98), which includes “Secret Yellowstone,” “Secret Yosemite,” “Extreme Alaska: Denali National Park,” “Everglades,” “Grand Canyon,” “Death Valley” and “Hidden Hawaii.” The set can be purchased together or individually for $19.98 each.
The collection includes footage of areas not accessible to tourists. Special features include 3-D interactive, printable maps and photo galleries.
