Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group has promoted Darren Seidel to SVP of international finance, where he’ll help direct finance operations across Warner’s video, digital and games businesses.

Previously Seidel served as VP of international finance.

“This promotion is in recognition of Darren’s strong leadership and expertise in the world of international finance,” said Jim Gewert, EVP of worldwide finance, planning and systems for WBHE. “Darren will continue to be instrumental in our success worldwide as we look for opportunities to grow our business and implement efficiencies that will deliver value to our stakeholders.”

Seidel will be charged with overseeing budgets, long-term financial strategy, forecasts, analysis of acquisitions, greenlighting projects and more in his new role.

“Darren has been instrumental in leading our continued expansion and success across our international territories,” said Jim Wuthrich, president of international for WBHEG. “Taking on this more senior position will allow him to play an even larger role in evaluating and shaping the future of our global business.”

Before joining Warner, Seidel was with The Walt Disney Co. for eight years, working with that studio’s home entertainment businesses in Asia Pacific and Latin America regions, heading up finance for the Disney Consumer Products unit, and helping with the integration of The Baby Einstein Co.
