Warner Premiere March 18 said it promoted Eva Semple Davis to EVP and GM of the studio’s direct-to-consumer content production unit.
Warner Premiere has developed and produced films such as Another Cinderella Story, Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (co-produced with Cartoon Network), upcoming Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove and Lost Boys: The Thirst.
Warner Premiere also develops content for Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, including the Watchmen motion comic and digital visual album, One Eskimo, as well as the Superman: Red Son and Batgirl motion comic series.
Semple Davis, who joined Warner Home Video in 2004 to launch an ethnic marketing group aimed at bringing greater awareness to the studio’s mainstream titles within multicultural markets, will continue to oversee global acquisitions of home entertainment content for the studio.
Her recent WHV acquisitions include the Sesame Street franchise and anime stories based on the Halo videogame.
Semple Davis reports to Diane Nelson, president of DC Entertainment, in Burbank, Calif.
