Yolanda Macias

Vivendi Entertainment has been promoted Yolanda Macias to EVP of business development and acquisitions, according to Vivendi Entertainment president Tom O’Malley. She previously served as SVP of business development and acquisitions.

In her expanded role, Macias will continue to be responsible for sourcing and acquiring content from producers and indie studios for theatrical and home entertainment distribution.  Additionally, she continues to oversee the company’s finance and digital divisions.

Macias recently helped negotiate Vivendi’s recent acquisition of Genius Products, which brought in such brands as World Wrestling Entertainment, Classic Media, RHI Entertainment and The Weinstein Company.

“Yolanda has been an indispensable part of the successful growth of Vivendi Entertainment through her leadership in the area of business development,” O’Malley said.

Prior to Vivendi, Macias served at DirecTV, Technicolor and The Walt Disney Co. She received her BS degree from California State University, Northridge, and her MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
