Starz Names New Publicity VP

Starz Entertainment has named Shannon Buck its new VP of original programming. She’ll be responsible for a wide range of communications and media strategies for the cable channel’s content.

Buck joins Starz following five-plus years with TV publicity agency Ferencomm, where she worked on several Starz campaigns, including “Spartacus,” “Boss,” “Torchwood: Miracle Day,” “Crash” and “Party Down.”

“Shannon’s talents and expertise will be instrumental in building the Starz original programming brand,” said Theano Apostolou, SVP of corporate communications and programming publicity for Starz. “Her skills and drive for excellence will serve her well at the network. We are thrilled to have her join the team.”
